Quiet Places

Seeking shelter from the world this week, I find that the quiet places without help me to find the quiet place within.

Looks like a prime spot for curling in for a winter dream with bears...

Oh yes!! I can walk a block away, into a ravine area where a small trickle of water travels. Its quiet there except for the water noise, the birds and the squirrels and I am at peace.

Looks like a very serene place to escape from the daily grind. You are very lucky to have your own private serene forest. :)

I do feel blessed to live here, Winnie. And also to be able to share it with others :)

I have so much catching up to do. Firstly, your lovely creek looks just like our lovely creek, with all those tree root bungalows and secret places amid the stones. Secondly, how would you manage without old Mr Troll's assistance?! And Thirdly, I LOVE Gramma Moses too. 2o years ago I found a huge book with all her paintings in it was inspired (for years) to create my own folk art look. She really was the epitome of the folk artist. We recently exhibited at a show where her grandson, Will Moses was a fellow artist. He is carrying on the tradition.

Words to contemplate.... the quiet places without help me to find the quiet place within. I find forests and streams take me within and comfort me when I'm needing time out from the busyness of life.
