The Magic of Ordinary Days

Torrential rains have scoured the creek banks and replaced what was there with tons of fresh, clean sand and stones for us to enjoy.  A giant sandbox by the creek.  We made fairy boats and set them adrift on the swift current.  I made a wish with mine - to somehow be able to hold onto the magic of this wonderful day.

So be it!

I have a similar wish to hold on to my peaceful, joyfilled relaxed state as I head back to the world of institutional education and too much thinking next week... I'm thankful to be teaching, and art is a wonderful thing to teach, but the extreme intellectualism of the university and denial of "embodied being" is hard for me there.

Oh yes, always hold onto the magic of the moment.

This post and thought is so much what I love about you and the moments you share with us and your blog.

You are young and already know what it took me many years to realize. You treasure the quiet moments and glory in the wonder of nature.

Thank you for sharing a moment of serenity and giving me a great start to my day.
xx, Carol

sigh. Record it, savour it, as these days are too short and pass too swiftly......
